About Christopher Pressey

Most of my clients come to me at an inflection point. A founder who’s been pitching for months and can’t figure out why it’s not landing. A business that’s grown well past what their brand says about them. Someone who knows exactly what they’ve built but can’t get anyone else to see it the same way.

That’s where I do my best work.

I spent a decade leading a Canadian business incubator, sitting across from hundreds of founders at every stage, from napkin idea to Series A. That experience taught me something that pure design training rarely does: the real problem is almost never the logo. It’s clarity. It’s being able to take what’s in your head and make it land with the people who need to hear it. Everything I build — brand identities, messaging frameworks, pitch decks, websites — is designed to close that gap.

I’ve been doing this for 25+ years, working with businesses across North America ranging from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 companies. That range matters. I’ve led full rebrands for major organizations like Crain Communications, guided growth-stage companies through brand refreshes that repositioned them for acquisition, and worked with nonprofits and community organizations on brands that needed to mean something beyond aesthetics. The through-line across all of it is the same: figure out what’s true about this business, and build something that communicates it with confidence.

My approach is collaborative and direct. I’ll sit in a boardroom in a suit when the project calls for it, and brainstorm over coffee in jeans and a vintage T-shirt when it doesn’t. What doesn’t change is the conversation: honest, specific, and focused on what actually moves the needle for you.

If that sounds like what you’ve been looking for — let’s talk.
